There was a problem starting uiautomationcore. I can click in and out of any menu such as the MAP or virtual flight path or change aircraft mid-flight or change weather mid-flight with no crashing. Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site. Don't know uiautomatjoncore.dll FSX directory is found and how to drag it there. What they do to correct it is apply an Affinity Mask setting dependent on your CPU type and whether or not you have Hyper Threading enabled or not.
I agree it is disappointing this wasn't fixed by Dovetail, however, the fix is trivial for you. Flew for over 4 hours this evening, with many menu clicks, and no crash's.
The code execution cannot proceed because uiautomationcore.

Is this something UIAutomation should cure? If you don't know exactly how to install the DLL, or are unsure which version to choose, this is the way to go.
After following the advice about the uiautomationcore. If this doesn't stop your "8 minute freeze, then you might need to set the affinity mask in the FSX config itself, but ONLY as a last resort. By skipper in forum FSX. Try it out both ways and see how it goes for you. Register a uiautomationcoer.dll account.
If you have Nvidia cards download their latest driver also.
