For the amount of musicians on stage giving it their all, it still sounds very tight. They were there and then they were f-ing gone. I would pay much money for this - maybe they could do a Fillmore '70 box set?
Add to that Fleetwood Mac guitarists Peter Green and Danny Kirwan along with Mick Fleetwood, and it was a jam of monumental proportions that took place at the Fillmore East on this day. The Allman Bros and Love were also on the bill.
Don't you wish you could go back in time. The other musicians straggle out You can just barely hear someone in the distance shredding - presumably Duane as well as some faint keyboard licks. Could have been released as a follow up to DP IV but the cuts make it tough as a comercial release.

If I recall and there may be a reason my recollections are "fuzzy" Jerry came out on stage at the beginning and explained that we would love this band opening for them, the Allman Brothers.

Since when did Alhambra's Spanish Jam sting like cayenne? I've had a casette copy that runs from the end of DS through much of Lovelight for 25 years -- and still listen to it.
Some people claim that Danny Kirwan is on stage as well but I've seen pictures and I think people are confusing him with Phil.
